CONVICTS AND PRISONS

Summary: Convicts should have a certain level of human rights. Prisoners should be encouraged to work and privileges should be withheld if they do not work. Either in the prison system as trustees or as employees of corporations who have factories within the prison walls. Some convicts could be allowed to work outside the prisons but return to prison each night. Prisoners should be allowed to keep 10% of their wages and the balance sent to their families or the victims of their crimes. Contract prisons for profit should not be allowed. If the state does not want to build prisons, it needs to reconsider the terms of sentencing. Contract prisons discriminate against the prisoner because they are not equal to government prisons. For instance, in a contract prison, prisoners can be starved in order to require them to buy food from the prison commissary and increase the profitability of the prision. - being written.
